Sour Apple III - US Shaniko Wool

    100% US Shaniko Wool
    Merino/Rambouillet
    2 oz / 56 grams
Dyed by hand in Seattle, Washington, USA

The Sour Apple III colorway includes shades of green, pink, and red.

Shaniko wool is from Merino/Rambouillet sheep, and this fiber is extra special because it is grown, processed, and dyed entirely in the US. At 20.4 microns, this fiber is oh so soft and has great loft! Our 20.4 micron US Shaniko wool fiber has the softness of Merino wool but with a longer staple length, making it an easier introduction to fine wools for handspinning. Shaniko wool is an excellent choice for next-to-the-skin garments. This wool is non-superwashed and can be used for felting.

Handwash your finished yarn in cold water using a gentle wool wash like Soak or Eucalan. Hang or lay flat to dry.
